Tucked away in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland, our retreat base is Wybalena Organic Farm — a stunning private property just 20 minutes from some of Northern NSW's best beginner surf breaks.
Unlike retreats based in busy Byron Bay town, you get the best of both worlds: waking up to birdsong and ancient fig trees on your own exclusive farm sanctuary, then heading to uncrowded, beginner-perfect waves at nearby beaches.
The Byron Bay region is renowned for its warm water, consistent swells, and welcoming surf culture — making it one of Australia's best places to learn to surf for the first time.
Our women's surf retreat is designed specifically for beginners and returning surfers aged 18 to 65+.
Our surf coaching ensures you get real attention in the water, while back at the farm you'll recover in the infrared sauna, cool off in the magnesium pool, and share chef-prepared meals with the most incredible group of women.

The Banksia Rooms are within their own building, only a few steps away from The Main House.
These rooms share modern farmhouse bathrooms at either end of the hallway. With reverse cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans in each room, as well as divider screens available to place between the beds.

GUMNUT CABINS

The Gumnut Cabins have two bedrooms (one queen bed & one double bed) with built in wardrobes, a shared modern bathroom, living room with TV, kitchen, dining table and deck to enjoy the country views.
With reverse cycle air conditioning in the main living spaces and pedestal fans in the bedrooms.
The perfect accommodation for those wanting to share with a friend, utilise the kitchen for any dietary requirements or enjoy more privacy further away from The Main House activities.

Located in a separate building just a short walk from The Main House, The Garden Rooms are the perfect oasis if you’re wanting a self contained and private space.

Including a shared deck to enjoy the sunshine and fresh country air.

Absolutely. The Byron Bay region has a variety of beach breaks that are ideal for learning, with warm water year-round and a relaxed ocean culture. Our coaches know exactly which spots are best for first-timers depending on the swell — so you'll always be in safe, fun conditions
Do I need any surfing experience to join this retreat?

Not at all. Our Byron Bay retreat is designed specifically for complete beginners and women returning to surfing after time away. All equipment is provided, and our coaches work with you at your own pace.

We've taken over the entire Wybalena Organic Farm exclusively for our retreat group — so you're not sharing with strangers or a hotel lobby.
